The Site’s Limited Role

This is a private reference resource. It does not keep official custody files, cannot confirm a person’s status, cannot release anyone, and cannot submit a court filing or agency request for a visitor.

Its purpose is to identify official Wichita County and Texas resources for booking, custody, court, corrections, and records questions, while also connecting visitors with independent research tools. Public-information requests made to government bodies are governed by Texas Government Code Chapter 552, not by this private site.

Acceptable Use

Visitors must use the site lawfully and with respect for other people’s safety, privacy, and access to the service. In particular, a visitor agrees not to:

• Use the site in violation of any law or regulation.
• Use material from the site to stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten another person.
• Use information from the site to make a hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or other prohibited screening decision.
• Attempt to access systems, accounts, or data without authorization.
• Use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to collect material from the site.
• Interfere with the site’s availability or another visitor’s use of it.

Fair Credit Reporting Act Restriction

Wichita County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide consumer reports, credit reports, background checks, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. A visitor agrees not to use any site material for an FCRA-covered purpose, including:

• A hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment decision.
• Tenant, housing, or lease screening.
• A determination of creditworthiness or insurance pricing.
• Licensing, permit, or government-program eligibility.
• Any other use regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Independent Websites

Links may lead to jail rosters, booking sources, sheriff or corrections pages, court portals, legal resources, and outside search services. Those sites are independently operated. Wichita County Busted Mugshots does not control their content, privacy practices, availability, or terms, and a visitor should review their terms before using them.

Information Provided As Is

The site and its content are supplied “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that any of the following will be available or correct:

• Complete, accurate, or current information.
• Uninterrupted operation of the site.
• Freedom from errors, defects, or security vulnerabilities.
• Complete results from an independent search provider.

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing on the site is an official statement by the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office, a jail, a court, or another government agency.

Limit of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Wichita County Busted Mugshots and its owners, contributors, and service providers are not liable for damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the site or an outside resource reached through it.

Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Wichita County Busted Mugshots, its owners, contributors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising from that visitor’s use of the site or violation of these terms.

Ownership of Site Material

The site’s text, graphics, logo, code, and other original content belong to Wichita County Busted Mugshots or its content partners unless otherwise stated. They may not be copied, distributed, or modified without prior written permission, except where law allows otherwise.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be changed at any time. The revised terms take effect when posted on this page, and continued use after posting means the visitor accepts the updated terms.

Access May Be Limited

Access to all or part of the site may be restricted, suspended, or ended at any time, with or without notice, for any reason.

Texas Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute related to these terms or the site must be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Texas, subject to applicable law.

Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts stay effective. The affected provision will be adjusted only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable where possible.
